Isobe Ceramics Tokoname Kyusu Teapot – Handcrafted in Japan

In the ancient port city of Tokoname, potters have been shaping clay for over a thousand years. This kyusu teapot carries that tradition forward — hand-thrown on a wheel, textured with a pine bark pattern, and fired in the Shunjugama kiln.

The built-in ceramic mesh strainer is integral to the pot itself, filtering tea leaves without the need for separate equipment. The unglazed Tokoname clay is known to subtly soften water and enhance the natural sweetness of green tea over time.
